Required
  • Every shadow official is required to complete the Stroke & Turn online training before they can apprentice on deck.

The number of officials required does NOT include individuals shadowing. 

​Parental involvement makes the SWSC meets possible. Learning to be an official is not as difficult as you might think it is. If you are interested in learning more about these roles please email us at [email protected] or speak to a member of your teams' coaching staff.

​Meet Officials

​All of our Meet Officials are volunteers who have participated in Stroke & Turn classes. Many of them are also officials at High School and USA Swimming meets. Each team is responsible to supply officials and timers at SWSC swim meets. 

There be a fine to any attending team that does not provide an official, either stand alone or shadowing.  That fine is payable to the host team.  

  • less than 8 kids – no official
  • 9-19 – 1 official or $25
  • 20-39 – 2 officials or $50. 
  • Reminder - people can train during winter season and with the high school meets in our area.
